Artist Statement:
Stone has an undeniable presence and I have a passion for stone sculpture. Some of my pieces are carved with great detail and others are assembled to create a more organic composition. Many of my outdoor sculptures are larger than life size, and some of them incorporate water.
I like combining the neutrality of limestone with the dark hues of soapstone.
This piece is part of an ongoing exploration of shape and texture.
