Michael Provenza: life's journey

July - August 2010: Perrysburg Municipal Building
201 W. Indiana Ave. Perrysburg, OH

Michael Provenza’s landscape and seascape oil paintings (above: Reach, 36"x12") are truly surreal and joyful, as well as sophisticated in detail with a distinctive pointillistic style and blending technique, producing a genuinely original body of work that is of master quality.

With years of study, discovery, experimentation, and diligence, Michael’s recent body of work, Life’s Journey, retains an unmistakable visual identity encompassing the subject of earth’s natural beauty and glory while introducing an ethereal theme. Often described as “realistic surrealism,” all of Michael’s work invites you in to experience Life’s Journey – with a twist.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area, Michael lived, worked, studied, taught, and painted for more than 30 years. He recently relocated to Perrysburg,
Ohio and owns an art studio named ThreeTrees Studio,LLC. Michael recently participated in a sidewalk chalk demonstration at Imagination Station in Toledo, OH.

Michael has exhibited his oil paintings in art galleries, shows and Museum stores around the country including California, Hawaii, Michigan, and Ohio. For more information about the artist, contact Michael at mjprovenza@threetreesstudio.com or visit his website at
