Become a Champion of the Arts

As an important member of the regional business community, the Executive Committee of the Perrysburg Area Arts Council (PAAC) would like to invite you to participate in our Champion of the Arts Program. This newly formed cultural arts partnership is critical to successfully bringing the arts to all segments of our communities.

Since 1989, the Perrysburg Area Arts Council has been recognized as the official arts organization for the City of Perrysburg and Perrysburg Township. Its role, however, extends to communities in both Wood and Lucas County. The Council's mission is, "To inspire, develop, sustain an dcoordinate arts in the Perrysburg, OH area." This year's Board Members are excited about introducing a new emphasis developing opportunities for area businesses to participate in enhancing the life experience of its employees, their families and their neighbors. A study performed in 2002 suggested that the quality of life in the communiites where business championed the arts was substantially higher than in those without such collaboration. It is with such an understanding that the Perrysburg Area Arts Council has introduced the Champion of the Arts program.

As a Champion of the Arts, your business will be recognized for its contribution to the community and will help ensure continuation and enhancement of art education programs, music concerts, cultural events, theatrical events, art festivals, exhibits and scholarship programs.

We know that as a businessperson, you know that progressive companies understand the importance of being a good corporate citizen. Business gurus, such as Covey, Cotter, Maxwell, Welch and Buffet all affirm this with regularity. This is your opportunity to influence the quality of life for your employees and your neighbors and be recognized for your efforts and your company's commitment as well.
