Doodle Bug Art Camp:
Weekly art camp at Way Library which coincides with the Summer Reading Program Bugs theme. Every Wednesday there will be two sessions. Cost: $3.00 per session

June 11: " Bee" A Bug Detective Make one or all of the activities: bug magnet, bug boxes, bug bookmarks, take-home bug recipe mini-book
Decorate a "swarm” of plaster of paris bug magnets after researching their actual name and natural coloration in an insect identification book.
June 18: "Bee" Come a Bug Create a wearable bug masks and wings
Adorn yourself with wings, headband antennae, and a mask of your favorite bug. "Buzz" around the house or yard and see your family run for cover and exclaim "stop bugging me!"
June 25: "Bee" A Doodle Bug Step by step drawing of realistic looking bugs
Using high quality paper, you will be shown a simple, step-by-step method for drawing a number of different bugs. Then you may use watercolor paints or colored pencils to bring them to life or keep "getting the bugs out" of your drawing techniques.
July 2: EEK! There's A Bug On You! "Buggy" bangles for boys and girls
Create and wear any number of pieces of "buggy" jewelry. First create bugs form beads and wire then attach them to a snap bracelet, leather string bracelet, barrette, headband or ring.
July 9: Fantasy Bugs 3-D bug sculpture
Create the funniest or most terrifying bug you can imagine using colored model magic clay, wire, wooden beads, googly eyes, nuts and bolts, CD’s and more!

Play Readers Group
Play Readers Group at Way Public Library, 101 E. Indiana Ave. on the fourth Wednesday of the month from 7-9:00pm, September May. Interested individuals will take part in reading a different play each month on the lower level of the library.
